Before there was hospitality, there was apparel. In 1973, Tom Glennon opened his apparel manufacturing plant, Tom’s Togs, Inc., in Conetoe, North Carolina. It was a family-run business and manufactured many clothing brands, including Cottontops, Hush-a-bye, Panama Jack, Guess and Limited Brand.
The transition to hospitality occurred in 1993, when Mr. Glennon purchased the Hilton Inn located on the Greenville Convention Center Campus in Greenville, North Carolina. The Hilton Greenville is the flagship property of the Prime Investments & Development portfolio and has achieved four consecutive outstanding Quality Assurance assessments by Hilton Worldwide. The 141 sleeping room, full-service property features 25,000 square feet of meeting space and an award-winning culinary department. The property just completed renovations of its meeting space, lobby and sleeping rooms. Its onsite, award winning restaurant, Villedge Wood-Fired Kitchen and Bar, has an eclectic menu that features locally sourced ingredients as well as craft and microbrewed beers.
Prime Investment’s other properties that make up the Convention Center Campus are the Greenville Convention Center, opened in 2002, the award-winning Hampton Inn Greenville, opened in 2009, and the Holiday Inn, purchased in 2014.
